$2.5 Million Malpractice Verdict in Montgomery County

Our clients were awarded $2.5 million in a Montgomery County wrongful death medical malpractice case earlier tonight.judge3

It is late. I’ll have more thoughts tomorrow including my thoughts on just how seriously this jury took the idea of public service. Just a great story. In the meantime, congratulations to our absolutely wonderful clients who tragically lost their husband/father, Rod Gaston who worked up and tried the case for us, and to the lawyer who referred the case to us.

As a juror for this trial, it’s interesting to reflect back and note that the plaintiff’s attorney, Rod Gaston was up against two attorneys for the defendant who have a depth of experience defending insurance companies and hospitals, and he still prevailed. Overall, the case took us 2 days to deliberate. Personally, I still have some questions. But, I know that you all have bigger fish to fry.

Great job! Congratulations for winning that case!

Thanks for your comment. I think you are the first juror ever to comment on this blog after a verdict.

One thing you got wrong: we don’t have bigger fish to fry. A great woman and two wonderful (adult) children lost their husband/father. We have not – and will never – have bigger fish to fry. Because there are not bigger fish in the ocean.

    Thanks again for your comment.
