Foot Injury Lawsuits: Settlements and Verdicts

Obviously, there are a lot of vexing injuries that occur in car and truck accidents. Foot and ankle injuries rank high on this list of hard to solve accident injuries. There are so many bones in the foot and the bones are so small. Just too many things can go wrong.leginjury

According to a Jury Verdict Research study, the overall median jury award for foot injuries is approximately $100,000.

More serious foot injuries see a corresponding rise in value. Multiple fractures to a foot increase the median verdict to $144,000. In foot injury cases where both feet are fractured, the median rises to $296,940. For plaintiffs’ lawyers repeating the “scope property damage does not matter” credo, it is hard to ignore the conclusion that if you have suffered fractures to both of your feet, you were most likely in an extremely serious accident.

Another Jury Verdict Research study found that 39% of the foot injury cases that went to verdict were suffered in motor vehicle collisions. A remarkable 11% of serious foot injury cases were in motorcycle accident cases. This stat underscores how dangerous motorcycles are compared to cars or trucks.

You did not mention why you sprained your foot, whether it was your fault, and what jurisdiction you are in. There would need to be a lot more information to assess whether you have a potential claim. Our law firm only handles extremely serious foot injury cases. But if you call me, I’ll be glad to discuss your case and give you some direction if we can’t help you.

My foot was ran over by a pallet jack and fractured by another employee while at work. I as taking to the hospital and the doctors claim it was a hairline fracture by my pinky toe. I was out of work for a month and finally came back but the big problem is that when i was hit i already had a old fracture on the top of my foot and it just made it worst. So now my foots have sharp pains in it every day as i continue to work. The guy that hit my foot was horse playing and was not certified to be on a pallet jack and he had 4 pervious accidents on file and was suppose to be terminated after the second accident. So i need to know will i have a potential lawsuit?
